The Spin Convergence Research Center (SCRC) has been organized to develop fundamental technologies for the next generation electronic devices over conventional devices by utilizing additional "spin" functionalities of electrons. The SCRC focuses on developing-spin field effect transistor, spin memory devices and spin nano-oscillator among many spintronic devices, and recently broadening the scope of its research to interdisciplinary area by combining the areas of genetic engineering and quantum information science with spintronics. In addition, the SCRC is actively collaborating with joint research teams from domestic research groups as well as leading international groups such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and California Institute of Technology (Caltech). With its excellent research staff and state-of-the-art research facilities, the SCRC will lead the development of future electronic devices by utilizing the spin degree of freedom of electrons.
