○ Content & Characteristic
  - Dr. KIM identified a new supportive apoptosis course in addition to two well-known courses.
  - This supportive apoptosis course is composed of AK2-FADD-Caspase10 and shows the
     defect in some cancer cells. This course is related to the diseases like a brain disorder that
     is highly connected with the apoptosis.
  - The paper was published on 'Nature Cell Biology.'
  ※ KIST performed research on the defect area of FADD. It shows how activation of AK2
      influences the phosphatization of FADD.

○ Scientific Value
  - It made an opportunity to target the activity-controlling protein of G-protein by determining
    structures of the complex which is made of RGS and G-protein in different 3 family.
  - It verified that a compound protects the death of dopamine cells due to oxidant stress by BH4.
    This compound will be used as a potential substance for the treatment and prevention of
    Parkinson's disease since it was tested through animal models.

  - It can suggest a new direction for the brain disease research.
  - It can provide KIST intellectual property rights by discovering new targets related to the brain
