Fabrication Technique of Ultrahigh-Density Desalination Membranes
1. Content & Characteristic
O This research aims to develop highly-permeable and highly-durable, next
generation membranes that can overcome the technological challenges of the
conventional desalination membranes. It consists of two parts:
- The separation performance and durability of the membranes are greatly enhanced by
fabricating ultra-dense, nanoscale thin film active layer through controlling reaction
between organic monomers at the molecular level.
- Tunable performance and functionality of membranes can be imparted by varying the types
of monomers and thus controlling the resultant physicochemical properties of the
