The 21st century is bringing about novel challenges and opportunities in national science and technology, and the significance of the roles, which analytical technology is undertaking for the improvement of national competitiveness in science and technology, is increasing even more so.

The Chemical Analysis Center, established in 1966 along with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), has contributed to the development of national science and technology by providing essential analysis and analytical technologies to the research performed by internal and external scientists and engineers for more than 40 years.

The Chemical Analysis Center will devote its full resources to produce world-class research results by performing analysis in the fields of cutting edge science and technology, supporting research, developing analysis methods, and by promoting joint research through the construction of the most advanced research infrastructure.

Moreover, the Center will continue to look for innovative ideas to gain more confidence and appreciation from scientists within and outside of Korea by moving towards an ‘Open Research Center,’ which will provide for the training of analytical equipment applications, opening its equipment to scientists in Korea and as well as those overseas.
