The Center for Urban Energy Research has a goal to create an energy-independent and eco-friendly city by developing urban fusion energy system and management technology.
Our center boasts a team of energy experts in areas including low-temperature waste heat recovery, heating & cooling technology, fluid/turbo machine, and tribology technology related to rotordynamics and lubrication.
We strive to develop technology for improving efficiency of urban energy systems and find innovative ways to save energy while reducing greenhouse gases. Our focus is on the following 4 areas to improve quality of life around energy: low-temperature heat grid, saving indoor fusion/conversion energy, urban new renewable energy, and managing urban energy infrastructure.
Through these efforts, we aim to realize energy independence of eco cities, create a network for urban energy, and build a new paradigm for managing urban energy infrastructure, thereby contributing to greenhouse gas reduction and national development.
