Photo-electronic Hybrids Research Center

The Photo-Electronic Hybrids Research Center was founded to support harvesting of solar and off-grid (e.g. waste heat) energy, an almost infinite energy source obtainable without investing large amounts of capital.

The center mostly focuses on organic/inorganic hybrid solar cells, inorganic solar cells, flexible thermoelectrics, and wearable energy conversion / storage materials.

Environmental concern and depletion of natural resources has become a major issue of modern society. Thus, a strategy to stabilize the energy supply by shifting towards renewable energy source is needed to overcome the current energy problem for social security.

Photo-Electronic Hybrids Research “Center” was founded in order to resolve these issues by following the national agenda of harvesting solar energy, an almost infinite energy source obtainable without investing a large amount of social overhead capital. This center mostly focuses on the fields of organic-inorganic hybrid solar cells, inorganic solar cells, flexible thermoelectrics, and high-activity energy storage materials.
